It was Christmas Eve, and the four children were eagerly awaiting the arrival of Santa Claus. They had hung up their stockings and retired to bed early, dreaming of the gifts they would find come morning.
But their slumber was disturbed by a cacophonous noise emanating from the basement. The eldest child, a courageous young girl, decided to investigate. As she descended the rickety stairs, the aroma of candles and incense became overpowering. She could hear faint chanting and the sound of strange, unfamiliar instruments.
Peering through the crack in the door, the girl beheld her parents standing in the center of the room, surrounded by hooded figures. They were performing some sort of eldritch ceremony, and as she watched in terror, her parents began to speak in tongues and perform bizarre, otherworldly rituals.
Trembling with fear, the girl returned to her siblings and attempted to rouse them. They knew they had to flee the house as swiftly as possible. They gathered their belongings and tried to sneak out the front door, but they were confronted by a horde of cultists blocking their escape.
The children were surrounded, with no hope of escape. They were dragged back to the basement and forced to participate in the unspeakable rites. As their parents looked on, they spoke in unison, their voices cold and hollow. “Someone was naughty this year…”
